well, hello mojo

My mojo has been seriously MIA the last little bit ... mostly because I didn't really have any scrap deadlines and because dh was gone hunting so we've been having some family time together, which is always nice. I only have one teeny project to share today however, I did my Creative Scrappers layout last night and it's a great sketch ... the reveal is on Sunday.

I participated in my 2nd swap and it was Christmas tags - swaps aren't typically my thing but this one sounded fun - totally got me in the mood for Christmas!!

This tag was completely, 100% inspired by Roree Rumph. She is one of my favourite artists over at scrapbook.com and I saw this tag and couldn't get it out of my head. So I did my own version of it ... and kept one for myself. :)

Abigail saw it on the table last night and yelled "Mommy, my never said you could use my googly eyes!!!!". Actually, just for the record, I bought my own pack but she still thinks they are hers. Maybe I'll stick this on her present so she can have it back. I might do some other tags and make a little collection - like a Santa or a reindeer!

AND this tag was used with my CRICUT! I actually used it ... but the thing is, it didn't cut through the paper at all. I'm guessing I need a new blade? Anyone out there know? I'll have to google it and see ...

It's Remembrance Day today. Please take a moment to remember. Lest we forget.

Have a great Thursday.

Very cute!! Love the googlies.
Did you use max pressure and top speed? You need to for thicker cardstock. Hope this helps :O)

Hi Jill
Cute tag!

With the Cricut you many need to adjust the blade depth, the blade pressure and the speed to make sure it cuts properly.

Blade Depth at 5-6
Pressure at Max
Speed at low or slow to get all the details.

Also if you have the Expressions, then you can also use the 'MultiCut' feature for it to go over itself a couple of times and it will be cut for sure!

Later!
Jenn
